Terms and Conditions
The agreement between you and Guild of Educators in TESOL International when you use this site.
Last updated: 9 September 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of this website and the services offered on it, which are operated by Guild of Educators in TESOL International (“GET International”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, enrolling in a course, applying for membership or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to create an account.
- The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
- Your account is personal to you. Keep your password confidential and do not let anyone else use your account — you are responsible for activity that happens under it.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Courses and what you receive
- When you enrol, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access that course's materials for your own learning.
- You may not copy, record, re-sell, share your login, publicly perform, or redistribute course materials, in whole or in part.
- Certificates are issued only where the stated completion requirements — including any passing score — are met.
- We may update, improve or retire course content. If we withdraw a course you have paid for and you have not completed it, we will offer a suitable alternative or a refund.
No guarantee of employment or certification outcomes
Completing a course does not guarantee employment, visa sponsorship, a salary level, or recognition by any particular school, employer, or government body. Where our site features graduates and the roles they went on to hold, those are individual experiences shared with their permission — they are illustrations, not promises, and your own results will depend on your qualifications, experience and the requirements of employers and authorities in your chosen country. You are responsible for checking whether our training meets the requirements that apply to you.
4. Membership
- Membership is granted for the stated period once your application is approved and your fee is received.
- Membership benefits are those described on the membership pages at the time you apply, and may be adjusted with reasonable notice.
- Membership is personal and cannot be transferred to another person or organisation.
- Always verify our bank details through our official contact channel before sending any payment (see section 6).
5. Research and publishing
- By submitting a manuscript you confirm the work is your own (or that you have every co-author's authority), that it is not under review elsewhere, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
- Submissions go through the review process described in our publication policies. We may reject or withdraw work for plagiarism, fabrication, or ethical breaches.
- Author names, affiliations and article metadata are published as part of the permanent scholarly record and are shared with indexing services.
- If you claim authorship of an existing article on this site, you confirm that the claim is truthful; we may ask for evidence before crediting you.
6. Payments and pricing
- Prices are shown in Philippine Pesos (₱) unless stated otherwise, and are payable in full before access is granted.
- Card and e-wallet payments are processed by PayMongo. We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Where payment is by bank deposit or transfer, verify the account details with us directly first. GET International will never ask you to send payment to an account other than those we confirm through our official contact channel.
- Discount codes are subject to their own conditions, may be limited in number or time, and can be withdrawn.
- You are responsible for any bank charges, currency conversion costs, or taxes that apply where you live.
7. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms removes statutory consumer rights you may have where you live.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break any applicable law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
- upload malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its data, or other users' accounts;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content except as expressly allowed;
- post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or deceptive — including fake reviews or impersonating another person;
- disrupt the service or place unreasonable load on it.
9. Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you post — reviews, discussion posts, messages and uploads. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it as needed to run the service. You are responsible for what you post, and we may remove content that breaches these Terms. Reviews must reflect genuine experience.
10. Our intellectual property
The site, its design, logos, course materials and compilations of content are owned by GET International or our licensors and are protected by Philippine and international copyright law. The name and logo may not be used without our written permission.
11. Third-party links and embedded services
The site links to and embeds third-party services — including YouTube for lesson videos and Google Forms for membership applications. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or practices; their own terms and privacy policies apply.
12. Availability and disclaimers
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we provide it “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the content is suitable for a particular purpose. Educational content is provided for training and information; it is not professional, legal or immigration advice.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GET International is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity. Where we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, or where required by law. If we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused portion of anything you have paid. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, liability and governing law — will continue to apply.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may still benefit from mandatory protections of your home country's law. We ask that you contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly and informally.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date and, where the change is material, give notice on the site or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
